December board meeting  - Nov 29th, 2010

Meeting called to order with 25 members present.

Following the prayer by Kathy and reciting the Four Way Test, Bernie Manternach led singing.

Melvin was congratulated on 60 years of marriage

Randy announced again the Christmas Party will be a Country Club is Sun Dec 5th at 5:30 with meal at 6:30 PM

Creighton reminded members to sell or buy their 6 Raffle tickets. Tickets are to be returned Dec 13th if possible because the drawing will be held Thurs evening Dec 16th in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce drawings that evening.

Steve reminded members of donations to the Rotary Foundation during Foundation Month encouraging members to do their EREY commitment.

Steve announced that there would be a new member orientation on Monday Dec 6th for our last 6 members.

Kathy presented the 2011 RYLA opportunity. It's scheduled for Fair Week and there was limited interest in offering to students but it was suggested that Jennie Lambert be contacted to see if there might be an interested student. Club would expect the student to pay approx $50 of the $400 suggested cost for the 5 day event to be held at a camp by Bluegrass, Iowa.

Kathy updated us on the difficulty it has been to try to get Goodwill involved in a computer recycling project. She'll keep working on it.

It was m/s/c that the club send it remaining $2500 commitment to the Mon-Maq Dam improvement. Our $3000 owed to JRMC will be delayed until after the raffle proceeds come in.

2011-12 officers were elected by acclaimation: Pres Chris Anderson, Pres E Doug Herman, VP Mike Duncomb, Sec G Retzlaff, Treas Brad Freese, 1 yr Dir Cheryl Dirks and Keri Boffeli, 2yr Dir Pam Goodyear and Marilyn Hanna and 3 yr Dir Joel Althoff and Rick Meyer.

Randy did a vocation speech.
